Area information Local attractions include: - The Steen castle: Situated right at the entrance of the city centre, it was probably built in the 13th century and is therefore considered as one of the oldest buildings in Antwerp. The National Navigation Museum has been housed here since 1952. - Antwerp Cathedral: Built on the foundations of a Romanesque church, it is considered to be one of the most beautiful Gothic buildings in Europe.
